For starters: Rays vs. Red Sox

3B Evan Longoria went through pre-game drills on Monday with no problems and is set to make his exhibition debut on Tuesday.


UPDATE, 11:01: The Red Sox lineup includes a lot of familiar faces, starting with former Ray Jonny Gomes, who was warmly embraced as always.

DEVELOPING: The Rays are back in Port Charlotte today for a 1:05 game vs. a Red Sox split squad.

RHP Alex Cobb, who has hold on the No. 4 spot in the rotation, will make his first appearance of the spring, looking to work primarily on fastball command.

Ben Zobrist is expected back in the lineup after taking Sunday off; he had hoped to play everyday this week before leaving to join the U.S. team for the World Baseball Classic.
