DEVELOPING: Coming off an off-day following five straight wins, the Rays are back at the Trop tonight to open a three-game series vs. the reeling Red Sox.

LHP Matt Moore will be on the mound for the Rays, seeking to extend his record to 7-0. The Sox will start veteran RHP John Lackey.

Moore has a chance to be the first pitcher in Rays history to start a season 7- and could tie LHP David Price's overall club record by winning his eighth straight decision (dating to Sept. 29).

Former Rays OF/DH Jonny Gomes, who has a .303 average and 1.089 OPS vs. his ex-mates, is hitting sixth and playing LF for the Red Sox.
