For starters, Rays vs. Red Sox
Update 5:20 p.m. The Rays continued to hope that Thursday's dramatic walk-off win will have a carryover effect tonight to start the Red Sox series.
3B Evan Longoria, who started the 11th inning rally with a single, is batting second again tonight.
*Maddon said C Ryan Hanigan is still not 100 percent, which is why he's alternating games behind the plate. They don't want to push him too much.
*Maddon said he spoke to RHP Grant Balfour today about his post-game comments about the fans; Balfour wasn't happy the fans booed him after his blown save in the ninth. Maddon said while he didn't agree with Balfour, he wants all his players to have a freedom of speech. The fans too, deserve their freedom of speech.
*Maddon continued his praise of RHP Juan Carlos Oviedo, who has not allowed a run in May, coming back strong from Tommy John surgery.
