UPDATE, 8:27: Luke Scott will make his first appearance in the outfield since 2011 - pre-surgery on his right shoulder today - and Kelly Johnson will be back in leftfield.

Scott has he has been feeling good and looking forward to it: "Why not?" Part of his thinking, and the team's, is that being able to play the field occasionally will help his hitting overall as the DH.

Zobrist dh
Johnson lf
Longoria 3b

DEVELOPING: The Rays are back in Port Charlotte today to face the Tigers, with thus-far-impressive rotation  candidate Roberto Hernandez starting and LHP Matt Moore set to make his spring debut in relief.

3B Evan Longoria is expected to be back in the lineup, playing on an every-other-day basis for now after making his debut on Tuesday.

The ESPN bus is here today, so there should be plenty of Rays talk on their 3 p.m. Baseball Tonight show.

Lineups soon.
