For starters: Wil Myers and Logan Morrison return, lineups vs. Padres

Wil Myers returns to the Trop for the first time since his trade to San Diego after the 2014 season.

He returns, he said, as a more mature player and a better teammate. Also, a more productive player.

The 2013 AL rookie of the year made the NL All-Star team this year. He’s batting .276 with 23 home runs and 70 RBI while playing mostly first base for the Padres, though he will play right field (his old position) tonight.

As for the Rays, Logan Morrison returns from the DL as the DH, his first base job now going to Brad Miller.

Morrison said he is willing to help Miller in any way he can and is looking forward to helping the team as a DH.

To make room for Morrison, RHP Dylan Floro was optioned to Durham.

Drew Smyly is on the mound as the Rays begin another three-team, 10-game homestand. They were 6-4 on the last homestand, which was their first winning homestand of the season.
