Forbes has Rays last, but at $451M it isn't too bad
From today's print edition:
The Rays were ranked last of the 30 big-league teams in Forbes magazine’s annual estimation of franchise values.
But at $451-million, the value went up 40 percent from last year’s $323-million, making for one of the largest increases, though all teams went up in part due to new national TV deals.
The Yankees, of course, were No. 1 at $2.3-billion, followed by the Dodgers ($1.62-billion) and Red Sox ($1.31-billion). The Rays were just behind the A’s, who went up 46 percent, to $451-million.
