UPDATE, 12:10: After spending much of the off-season working with a phsyical therapist near his Texas home, LHP Drew Smyly reported to Rays camp confident his shoulder is in good shape for the upcoming season.
"I'm ready,'' Smyly said. "I feel great. I know I put the work in.''
UPDATE, 12:05: By unofficial count, 48 of the 64 rostered players are already in Port Charlotte, including all seven catchers and most of the 33 pitchers. The first workout for the pitchers and catchers in Sunday.
DEVELOPING: The Rays first official workout of the spring isn't until Sunday, but there is a large group already working out today in Port Charlotte.
