Logan Forsythe 'day-to-day' after leaving Rays game due to HBP
Forsythe said he was checked by a doctor and told x-rays were not necessary and hopes to play Thursday. "I think it feels all right, just got me in a good spot,'' Forsythe said. "They just wanted to be extra cautious, (have me) come in and get a look from the doc. It checked out. Everything is cool right now.''
UPDATE, 2:30: The Rays say Forsythe is "day to day" after leaving with a left elbow contusion.
DEVELOPING: 2B Logan Forsythe, the Rays 2015 team MVP. left Tuesday's game against the Phillies after being hit on the left arm by a pitch from Philadelphia's Aaron Nola in the first inning.
Forsythe lingered in the Rays dugout until the end of the inning, and seemed in good spirits in talking to teammate, before heading to the clubhouse.
Manager Kevin Cash talked before the game about how the Rays were pleased with Forsythe in the leadoff slot and were giving that serious consideration.
