Evan Longoria leaves Rays game, having been hit earlier by pitch
Rays 3B Evan Longoria left Monday's game after five innings due to what the team said was "right hand soreness.''
Longoria was hit by a pitch from Baltimore's Ubaldo Jimenez in the first inning and looked to be in pain, but stayed in. He left after five innings with the Rays down 7-3.
Longoria has been their top run producer, with 31 homers and 85 RBIs.
Matt Duffy replaced Longoria at 3B, the position he had been playing with the Giants until the Rays acquired him and moved him to SS.
