Moore's elbow not ready, Hernandez to start Saturday

Matt Moore said he is still feeling some discomfort in his left elbow and will take three days off from throwing in an effort to be 100 percent before returning.

Moore described it as "a very little bit" of discomfort during Wednesday's bullpen session, more noticeable when he got to  the 35-40 pitch range, and said he is confident additional treatment and rest will help.

"I felt good but good isn't great, and good isn't 100 percent and I think that that's what we're really aiming for is to get back out there and be 100 percent right,'' Moore said.

Moore, who had hoped to start Saturday, now said he has "no idea" when he will make his next start, that there is no timeframe beyond resuming throwing Sunday.

Moore said as of now he feels "good but not great.'' Roberto Hernandez will start on Saturday.
