Rays and D-backs delayed 20 minutes due to lights issue
UPDATE, 8:00: The delay lasted 20 minutes. It was due to a lightning strike at a substation near the stadium, the team said.
DEVELOPING: The Rays-Diamondbacks game is in a delay due to several banks of lights at the Trop going out.
Heavy storms had been rumbling by the Trop, and the lights flickered several times. Several banks went out as the Rays were preparing to hit in the botton of the second, already leading 2-0.
The Sun Sports broadcast also went out.
Players left the field, and the Arizona relievers came in from the bullpen area.
