The Rays improved to 3-1 for the spring with a 6-3 win over a Red Sox split squad.

Alex Cobb wasn't particulalry sharp over his two innings, throwing 38 pitches, with a noticeable lack of command, though he felt fine. He found some satisfaction in getting several ground ball outs.

New SS Yunel Escobar had a two-run double for the Rays in the first, and Ryan Roberts another in the fourth. Roberts also made an impressive defensive play at third.

The Rays host the Astros on Tuesday with David Price making his first start of the spring and Evan Longoria expected to play for the first time.
