The Rays rallied for an 8-5 win over the Twins on Tuesday.
Down 5-2 in the eighth, they scored five runs - with key hits by Stephen Vogt, Brandon Guyer and minor-league oF Kevin Kiermaier.
RHP Juan Sandoval, the reliever who is blind in his right eye, worked an impressive 1-2-3 ninth, hitting 95 mph, to close it out.
LHP Matt Moore made a shaky start and RHP Roberto Hernandez, competing for a rotation spot, had a solid 2 2/3-inning outing.
The Rays (8-4) are off Wednesday and then face the Pirates on Thursday in Bradenton.
