Rays get a hand in 4-3 win over O's
The Rays snapped their 3-game losing streak with a 4-3 win over the Orioles on Thursday, the winning run scoring when Baltimore C Luis Exposito was called for using his mask to pick up the ball.
That ninth-inning call allowed Wil Myers, who had doubled and moved up on a wild pitch, to score.
Jeff Niemann started for the Rays and worked into the fifth, allowing 4 hits and charged with a run when Juan Sandoval gave up a 3-run homer to Matt Wieters.
Luke Scott homered off lefty Mike Belfiore and Evan Longoria doubled in a run.
The Rays (12-7) are home in Port Charlotte on Friday with Matt Moore on the mound.
