Rays going camo again Monday - on the field

UPDATE, 3:01: Further word from MLB on the plans for Monday:

*   MLB will donate 100% of its net proceeds from sales of the camouflage caps and jerseys to Welcome Back Veterans as part of its contribution to the program.

*  MLB will also participate in a National Moment of Remembrance where all games during Memorial Day weekend will include a moment of silence in honor of members of the military who lost their lives serving their country, a program the league has participated in since 1997.

he camo dress-up theme for the trip from St. Petersburg to Baltimore last week apparently was just the warm-up act for the real thing, as the Rays - and all other teams - will wear camo-themed uniforms on Monday for Memorial Day.

The jerseys and caps - with hat-tips to and - are already available for sale through each team's online store, for the Rays via or Imagine that.

The design, according to the post, utilizes the USMC trademarked Digital Camo pattern.
