Rays lose to Red Sox 6-2



The Rays lost to the Red Sox 6-2 on Sunday before the first sellout crowd of the season in Port Charlotte.

LHP Matt Moore was better but still not in top form working 3 2/3 innings, throwing 65 pitches and allowing all three of his runs on a home run by David Ross.

Moore said there was progress from his first two outings, manager Joe Maddon said "he looks like he's just not comfortable yet with his delivery,'' though there are no health concerns.

C Chris Gimenez had another hit and is batting . 500 for the spring.

The Rays are in Port Charlotte again on Monday for a night game vs. the Twins, with Roberto Hernandez set to start.
