Rays' Scott continues progress on hamstring injury
DH Luke Scott continues to make progress and doesn’t expect to be out long due to left hamstring tightness that forced him from Sunday’s game.
Scott worked out Tuesday morning, riding the exercise bike for 10 minutes and running on the treadmill in the water, saying “everything feels good.” Scott planned to throw, which would be a “good barometer,” as well as hit off a tee.
He will resume his rehab Wednesday at the complex on the team’s off-day, but isn’t on the travel list for Thursday’s game in Bradenton. Scott is unsure when he'll return to game action.
“They always tend on the side of precaution,” Scott said. “If I have to wait an extra 2-3 days, they do that, which is smart. It’s early.”
