Rays season opener moved up to April 3



The Rays season opener against the Blue Jays was moved up a day, to Sunday, April 3, at 4:05 p.m, as part of ESPN's expanded opening-day coverage. 

 The Rays-Jays game, slated for ESPN2, will follow the MLB-opening Cards-Pirates game and precede the Mets-Royals World Series rematch. 

The Rays-Jays four-game series will now conclude on Wednesday, April 6, with a 1:10 p.m. game and the Rays will be off Thursday.
