Rays signing LH Dana Eveland to minor-league deal
The Rays are finalizing a deal to sign LHP Dana Eveland to a minor-league deal with an invitation to spring training as they seek to add pitching depth.
Eveland, 32, had a 5.40 ERA in 10 games for the Braves last year. He did better in stints at Triple-A for the Red Sox, Orioles and Braves, compiling a 4-0 record and 1.95 ERA over 33 games. He brings experience and versatility as he can start or relieve.
