Rays to activate Brandon Guyer, DFA Jaff Decker

The Rays will activate OF Brandon Guyer from the DL for Wednesday's matinee against the Red Sox, with OF Jaff Decker designated for assigment to make room.

Guyer last played on June 3, sidelined with a left hamstring strain. He played three rehab games for the advanced Class A Stone Crabs, the last on Tuesday night.

Decker, signed to a minor-league deal during the winter, got called up June 15 when OF Steven Souza Jr. got hurt, but didn't do much with his opportunity, hitting .138 (with four singles) in 10 games.

Guyer had taken over as a starter early in the season and was playing well, hitting .271 with 6 homers and 14 RBI in 40 games at the time of his injury.
