Rays will play exhibition in Cuba if MLB works it out
If Major League Baseball can work out details - including governmental approval - the Rays will be the team that gets to play an exhibition game in Cuba this spring.
Commissioner Rob Manfred held a drawing Friday among interested teams and the Rays were chosen.
The game likely would be against the Cuban national team, the New York Times reported, and played in Havana.
Manfred said Tuesday MLB is working to make the game happen and would proceed with plans - including identifying a team - pending approval.
