Special K-9 seating section for Price starts
UPDATE, 2:15: To clarify, Rays now say the Price package is only being offered for opening day with the possibility it will be a regular offer any time he is scheduled to start at home.
DEVELOPING: With David Price officially named the opening day starter, the Rays quickly put out a release announcing a special seating area/ticket offer called "District K-9" that includes a lower level seat, special T-shirt and a "K" card.
The package, for $50, is expected to be offered each time Price starts a home game.
Here is the team release:
The Tampa Bay Rays today announced a new special seating section, dubbed “District K-9,” that will be available on Opening Day when 2012 American League Cy Young Award winner David Price starts at Tropicana Field vs. the Baltimore Orioles on April 2 at 3:10 p.m.
For the Opening Day game, sections 132 and 134 will be known as District K-9. Tickets in the section will be specially priced at $50 and come with a District K-9 T-shirt and “K”-card. Tickets can be purchased at www.raysbaseball.com/districtk9.
The pitching rotation is subject to change. In the event that Price does not pitch, tickets will still be valid and fans will still receive their T-shirt and “K”-card. No refunds or exchanges will be available. This package may not be combined with any other offer.
