UPDATE: First pitch around 3:33

UPDATE, 3:31: First pitch should be moments away. The rain has stopped and the tarp is off.

UPDATE, 1:24: The Rangers are now guessing the game will start between 3-4 Tampa Bay time. Once the front moves through, it takes them about 45 minutes to get the field ready. Maddon said talked this morning to starting pitcher Matt Moore on pushing his internal clock back as far as his game prep.

DEVELOPING: The front with the next wave of thunderstorms and severe weather is moving slower than forecast, so the Rangers have already announced that the start of today's game will be delayed at least an hour, and maybe several.

First pitch was scheduled for 1:05 Texas time (2:05 in Tampa Bay), but the Rangers said it could be 2 or 3 until the front passes through.

The Rays were aware of the possiility, but since this is a getaway day they have already checked out of their Fort Worth hotel and are at the ballpark, and will be for a while.
