Tim Tebow not in starting lineup for tonight's game vs. Tampa

Tim Tebow will not be in the starting lineup for tonight's St. Lucie Mets game versus the Tampa Yankees at Steinbrenner Field, the team announced.

There's no indication Tebow is injured. The Yankees are starting a left-handed pitcher, Chaz Hebert, and Tebow has struggled against southpaws this year, with a .181 batting average and .582 OPS off them (compared to a .252 average and .720 OPS off right-handers). He's gotten days off earlier this year against left-handed starters, coming off the bench to pinch-hit in a few of those games.

The Yankees are in Tampa for a four-game series, Thursday through Sunday.
