Toles, Floro named top minor-leaguers
The Rays today named OF Andrew Toles their minor-league player of the year and RHP Dylan Floro their top pitcher.
Toles, 21, hit a Midwest League leading .326 in 121 games with Bowling Green, his first full season after being a 2012 third-round pick. He ranked among Midwest League leaders in hits (1st, 169), doubles (4th, 35) and triples (1st, 16). He also led the Midwest League and the Rays organization in steals with 62. He reached base safely in a franchise-record 31 consecutive games during the season.
Floro, 22, was 11-2 and posted a 1.77 ERA over 23 starts between Class-A Bowling Green and High-A Charlotte.

Toles was also named the organization’s Best Baserunner, RHP Kirby Yates the Best Relief Pitcher and Kiermaier was named Best Defensive Player.
