Umpiring crew disciplined for Thursday controversy at Trop tonight

The Fieldin Culbreth umpiring crew involved in - and disciplined for - Thursday's controversy in the Angels-Astros game is working the Rays-Padres series at the Trop this weekend.

Culbreth was suspended two games and fined for "misapplication" of the rule for allowing Astros manager Bo Porter to change relievers without the first pitcher facing a batter. The rest of his crew - Brian O'Nora, Bill Welke and Adrian Johnson - were fined an undisclosed amount.

Culbreth's suspension will be served at a later date.
