Florida State tight end Caz Piurowski has successful knee surgery
Florida State senior tight end Caz Piurowski had what was described as successful reconstructive surgery to repair a torn ACL in his right knee on Thursday at Tallahassee Orthopedic Surgery Center.
"It went great,'' surgeon Steve Jordan said in a statement FSU released. (Tom Haney performed the surgery along with him.) "It was awesome. We were really excited about the graft and feel very good.''
Piruowski, the former Land O'Lakes star who was enjoying a breakout year before injuring his knee on the opening series against Georgia Tech, is looking ahead to a shot in the NFL.
