Florida State quarterback EJ Manuel named the ACC rookie of the week

Florida State redshirt freshman quarterback EJ Manuel, who threw for 220 yards and a touchdown and added 45 yards rushing a touchdown in his first start at Wake Forest, was named the ACC's rookie of the week.

Other winners were: Clemson's C.J. Spiller (offensive back); Georgia Tech's Cord Howard (offensive lineman); Georgia Tech's Ben Anderson (defensive lineman); North Carolina's Kendric Burney (defensive back); and North Carolina's Casey Barth (specialist).
