Following the release of her sophomore album Fearless, there was no doubt about it: Taylor Swift was a superstar.
She showed why when she returned to Tampa for a sold-out concert at the St. Pete Times Forum (now called Amalie Arena) on March 4, 2010.
The arena spectacular featured "a seven-piece band, six backup dancers, an IMAX-sized video screen, a taped cameo by budddy Miley Cyrus and a shape-shifting stage that was a schoolroom one second, a castle the next," wrote Times reviewer Sean Daly.
"You want more distractions? There was the constant Rapunzellian unfurling of her bounteous blond locks, a massive head of hair that thought it was auditioning for a shampoo commercial. There was the doe-eyed gamine's spaced-out gaze into the crowd, an oft-repeated vanity pose that was unintentionally hilarious, like a naughty Cinderella with a few Prince Charmings on the side. And then, of course, there were all those sugar-smacked hits, which the crowd shouted above and beyond Swift's sweet, if thin, voice."
