Artist of the day: Dynasty
In the past few months, Dynasty has opened for the Wu-Tang Clan and KRS-One, as well as quirky Miami pop-folkie Rachel Goodrich. How does she manage such cross-appeal? With a positive energy and undeniable charm, the Queens native (real name: Diana Hardy) flows with ease over lyrically rugged terrain.
"My goal is to keep the crowd interested and involved,” she said. “I can bring positivity without being corny. I don’t curse. I don’t talk about most of what you hear on the radio, but I can still rock a stage with the best of them." She says she’s been rapping since she was 11; expect her to keep it up for a long time to come.
