UPDATE: Aerosmith concert in Tampa still on ... for now
UPDATE, 5:30 p.m. Friday: Joe Perry went on The Cowhead Show on 102.5 The Bone Friday afternoon to announce that Saturday's Aerosmith-ZZ Top concert at the Ford Amphitheatre has been canceled. Go here for the details.
This original post from Thursday evening, about the will-they-or-won't-they speculation regarding the show, is after the jump.

Boy, Aerosmith are really keeping us on pins and needles regarding their concert July 11 in Tampa.
Already, the band has had to cancel five gigs on their current tour with ZZ Top due to a mystery injury suffered by singer Steven Tyler. And the status of their gigs next week in Tampa and Fort Lauderdale are as will-they-or-won't-they as it can get.
On Wednesday, guitarist Joe Perry Tweeted that the band had cancelled both Florida dates, and rescheduled them for October: "Tampa Fort Lauderdale both rescheduled in Oct. Sorry for the let down. Better Steven recovers fully than halfway n strains his leg again"
Then, this afternoon, Perry backtracked, again via Twitter: "... I misunderstood looks like we r keeping fingers crossed 4 Tampa n Lauderdale shows. Sorry. Lost in Translation"
Live Nation promoter Woody Graber just told us that as far as he knows, at this very moment, the Tampa and Fort Lauderdale concerts are still on. But he said he expects to know for sure on Friday.
Check back here for the latest.

50 Concerts
Why would anyone voluntarily attempt to see 50 concerts at 50 different venues in a single summer? Jay Cridlin shrugged and thought: Eh, why not.
