New Plies video: 'Becky'

The video for Tampa-Fort Myers rapper Plies' summer jam Becky hit the streets Tuesday afternoon. And by "streets," we mean The YouTubes. That's it, above.

Shot around Atlanta, it's a pretty glossy affair, as you might expect, given the man's national prominence over the past few years. The theme seems to be, "Everyone wants Becky," from the homeless dude on a street corner to the elderly white cop who busts a move after pulling Plies over for an undisclosed infraction, to the soccer mom getting down in her minivan. We love the gold-trimmed Cleveland Indians cap.

But if there's one thing this video needs, it's some sort of self-promoting element. What is Plies' Twitter feed? What is the name of his new album? After watching this video, we still have no idea!

Overall: Fun stuff that doesn't take itself too seriously. Although we do have to say, we kind of like this one better.

After the jump, get a behind-the-scenes video on the making of the Becky video.
