Artist of the day: Monday Monday
Not to start this whole thing again, but it's Monday, so let's spotlight Monday Monday.
The band is a tribute to the Mamas and the Papas, so you're definitely going to hear heavily harmonied tracks like California Dreamin', Dream a Little Dream of Me and (obviously) Monday, Monday during their live sets. But they also mix in other '60s and '70s hits in that vein, by artists like the Turtles and the Hollies.
And they actually have hippie bona fides, too -- soprano/alto Laurie Shamone has opened for Richie Havens, and tenor/guitarist Michael Taylor-Powers has toured Canada as the lead guitarist in a Rod Stewart cover band. (Alto/soprano/percussionist Pam Zeitler and tenor/guitarist Tim Hamm are both accomplished musicians as well.)
On Saturday, Monday Monday will perform at the Safety Harbor Resort for a night of '60s-themed fun, dress and music. Tickets are $15. The show starts at 6:30 p.m.; get details here.

50 Concerts
Why would anyone voluntarily attempt to see 50 concerts at 50 different venues in a single summer? Jay Cridlin shrugged and thought: Eh, why not.
