Donate to Goodwill, win tickets to Next Big Thing
Hey kiddos: Wanna meet the Used, above? Or at least see them in concert and possibly win shoes autographed by the band?
Then check out Goodwill's Next Big Donation contest, which wraps up this weekend. The charity is giving away two reserved seats at the Dec. 6 97X Next Big Thing concert, plus a meet and greet with a band and some Converse Chuck Taylors autographed by Next Big Thing musicians like the Used, Panic at the Disco, 30 Seconds to Mars and plenty of others.
To win, you need to donate stuff to Goodwill. A lot of it. The winner will be the person who donates the most usable goods (shoes, clothing, housewares, but no furniture) by weight. Runners-up will also win Chucks autographed by several bands.
Goodwill has already held donation drops in Brandon, Port Richey and Oldsmar. This Saturday, Nov. 28, you can enter by donating goods at the St. Petersburg Goodwill at 10596 Gandy Blvd., next to Derby Lane, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. You can also donate at Next Big Thing from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 6.
