SoundBytes: Behemoth, Evan Dando, Wanee Festival and more

Behemoth
-- Coming to the State Theatre on Jan. 11: Polish black metal heroes Behemoth. THE METAL WILL NOT BE STOPPED. Tickets are $17-$20.

-- Good news, Lemonheads fans: Evan Dando is coming to town! According to the band's Web site, the singer will be at Crowbar on Feb. 12. Tickets are $15. Go here for details.

-- Check out the video for the Postmarks' new single, Go Jetsetter.

-- This year's Wanee Festival is scheduled for April 16-17 in Live Oak. Last year's headliners included Allman Brothers Band, Buddy Guy and Gov't Mule. Keep an eye out here for this year's linup announcement.

-- Hey, speaking of Gov't Mule: Those filthy, filthy hippies will be performing at the Ritz Ybor at 8:30 p.m. Jan. 21. Tickets are $26-$28. Click here to buy.

-- And one more show to get excited about: The Expendables are playing the Ritz Ybor on Feb. 5. Tickets are $17-$19.

-- But tragically, for all you grunge fans out there, Alice in Chains are not coming to Florida.

-- This weekend, from Nov. 27-29, Steady State is giving away their album online. Pay what you will, folks. Click here for details.

-- 97X has announced the winners for this year's Next Big Thing local band search and they are ... drumroll please ... Naples' Vega Under Fire and Bradenton's Red Light Run. Not exactly "local," but eh, still good. They'll get to play alongside Panic at the Disco, the Used, Metric and more at Next Big Thing, Dec. 6 at the Ford Amphitheatre. Bully for them.
