We will not insult your intelligence, dear readers, by pretending to know the first thing about the world of Vietnamese pop.

Nonetheless, we attempt to cover all our musical bases here on Soundcheck. And we would be remiss if we didn't tell you that on Thanksgiving Day, the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino is plotting an evening of V-pop that'll make your head spin.

All your favorites will be there: Y2K Band! Van Anh! My Huyen! Che Linh! Justin Nguyen! And it'll all be hosted by Giang Ngoc!

We don't know who any of those people are, and frankly, Google isn't being a whole lot of help. We can only find Web sites for Che Linh, who is described as an award-winning singer who was "jailed as a war revolutionary" in the 1970s before escaping to Malaysia and later Canada; and Justin Nguyen, who looks like ... a Vietnamese Robin Thicke? Or maybe Adam Lambert. Can't quite tell.

But we are told these artists are popular with Asian crowds, especially in American casinos. So, you know, make 'em feel welcome!
