Andrew W.K., Sum 41, NeverShoutNever, Dillinger Escape Plan lead Vans Warped Tour lineup in St. Petersburg
During the mad rush of the holidays, the Vans Warped Tour announced the first wave of acts who will be taking next summer's stage, including the initial lineup for the show July 23 at Vinoy Park in St. Petersburg.
Andrew W.K. (above), Sum 41, Emarosa, We the Kings, Alesana, Reel Big Fish, The Cab, Hey Monday, Breathe Carolina, Mayday Parade, Every Time I Die and the Summer Set are among the top bands on this year's bill.
The Dillinger Escape Plan are the winners of this year's "Hardcore Legends We Have On The Bill To Appease The Old-School Punks" award. Acoustic emo-pop heartthrob(s) NeverShoutNever are the token pop band on the rise who are there to please the chickies. And in the category of "What the hell are they doing here?," the Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band, last seen playing getting their blues-rock on at Crowbar in October, will also be on hand.
We hate to say it, but so far ... meh. We've seen better. But tell us if you think we're full of it.
What's also notable is who ISN'T coming to town. Motion City Soundtrack and the All-American Rejects are on the Warped Tour, but their stints end before the tour hits St. Pete.
After the jump, get a full St. Petersburg Vans Warped Tour lineup. Keep an eye out for more Warped Tour artist announcements soon.

50 Concerts
Why would anyone voluntarily attempt to see 50 concerts at 50 different venues in a single summer? Jay Cridlin shrugged and thought: Eh, why not.
