Got plans Thursday night? No, you don't. You're going to Little Dragon
We confess, when we heard Little Dragon was coming to Crowbar in Ybor City, we knew it was a big deal ... we just didn't know HOW big.
The hype is building for Thursday night's gig by the Swedish electronic avant-jazz-pop act at Crowbar, which promises to be the latest in a line of Ybor City spectacles (see: F---ed Up, Terror Pigeon Dance Revolt!, Black Moth Super Rainbow) ... but even more eye-popping. Think The Knife meets Hot Chip meets Bjork meets Ladytron.
Little Dragon have been in the news lately because they performed on two songs (To Binge and Empire Ants) from Gorillaz' new album, Plastic Beach. It's the latest in a long line of collaborations for singer Yukimi Nagano, who's worked with Nordic lounge acts like Hird and Koop as well as other acid jazz collectives like Sleep Walker and Andreas Saag's Swell Session.
