UPDATE: Stone Temple Pilots coming to the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa

Stone.temple.pilots
If you read up on the history of grunge and '90s alt-rock, you get the sense that Stone Temple Pilots never got the respect they deserved. We're not so sure about that.

We think people now realize that Interstate Love Song, Plush, Sex Type Thing, Big Bang Baby and Sour Girl are truly excellent alternative songs. Sure, they took the long and thorny road to success, as this recent Spin cover story illustrated, but they got there, right?

Time to celebrate Weiland and company in full. According to their website, Stone Temple Pilots are coming to the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa on Oct. 8. Looks like we'll soon be able to scratch them off our make-good-concert list.

This show hasn't been officially announced by the Forum, so we're still waiting on ticket details.

***UPDATE*** Finally, confirmation by the Forum. Stone Temple Pilots ickets are $37-$57, and they go onsale Aug. 13. Click here to purchase.

If you're interested, STP also scheduled shows in Orlando, Hollywood, Estero and Pensacola. Lots of love for the Sunshine State on this tour ... assuming Weiland shows up this time.

50 Concerts

50rockWhy would anyone voluntarily attempt to see 50 concerts at 50 different venues in a single summer? Jay Cridlin shrugged and thought: Eh, why not.
