With the Grammys on Sunday, it's poised to be a big week for Kendrick Lamar. So he's planning a victory tour with his whole team.
Lamar's label, Top Dawg Entertainment, just announced an all-star tour toppeed by Kung-Fu Kenny; acclaimed R&B sensation SZA; rappers Schoolboy Q, Jay Rock and Ab-Soul; and singers SiR and Lance Skiiiwalker.
The tour stops by Tampa's MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre on May 22. Tickets are $35 and up, and they go on sale at noon Friday via Live Nation.
Lamar, the general consensus for best rapper in the game right now, will headline the show on the strength of several acclaimed albums — most recently the hugely popular DAMN., which is up for Album of the Year and spawned the Record of the Year contender HUMBLE. But SZA will also be a top draw; she's up for Best New Artist and several other awards. And Schoolboy Q is a perennial festival favorite.
The lineup says more acts may be added, so feel free to hold out hope for other Top Dawg affiliates like Isaiah Rashad will be added, too. For now, though, a tour featuring nearly an entire powerful label sounds too good to miss.
