— St. Petersburg has been on a real hot streak of shows by all-time punk legends the last couple of years: X, Social Distortion, the Damned, Jello Biafra … and now the Descendents, playing their first Tampa Bay show in more than 20 years. It'll take place April 12 at Jannus Live. Click here for tickets and details.

— Rapper Goldlink had to postpone a pair of Tampa shows last fall, but he'll finally come back to town on April 20 with a gig at the Orpheum. Click here for details.

Amorphis is going on tour with Dark Tranquility, Moonspell and Omnium Gathering, and they'll stop at the Orpheum on Oct. 5. Click here.

— When the Association of Writers and Writing Programs conference comes to Tampa in March, it'll bring at least one cool concert event with it. On March 9, the Jacuzzi Boys will headline a night of readings and music at Ella's Americana Folk Art Cafe. Participating writers include Chase Berggrun, Dan Hoy, Lauren Hunter, Juan Martinez, Abbey Mei Otis, Zachary Schomburg, Abraham Smith and Caroline Randall Williams. There will be DJs and dancing, and best of all it's free. Click here for details.
