Snoop Dogg, T.I. to headline inaugural Halftime Music Festival in Tampa

Are you ready for an all-new hip-hop festival in Tampa?

Snoop Dogg and T.I. are scheduled to headline the inaugural Halftime Music Festival on May 5 in the North Lot of Raymond James Stadium. Also on the bill: Karol G, Baby Rasta y Gringo and Brytiago.

Launching an all-new festival is a daunting proposition in this town, and the rate of smashing successes is not high (remember 2015's disastrous H.I.T. Music Festival?). But promoter Charles Potter said he's up to the challenge.

"It's definitely difficult," said Potter, 38, whose recent work includes a 2017 Wild Splash after-party with Trey Songz at Whiskey North. "We're slowly but surely pushing the promo, but we'll probably step it up right after Wild Splash (on March 3)."

MORE: Wild Splash lineup: Cardi B, Gucci Mane, Lil Pump, more coming to Coachman Park in Clearwater

Early-bird tickets are on sale now for $40 (GA) and $110 (VIP). A portion of ticket sales, Potter said, will benefit R'Club Child Care and I Care About Me.

"This will be an annual thing in Tampa," Potter said. "Cinco de Mayo, it's going to be a great event. Snoop is a legend, T.I. is a legend, performing on the same stage for the first time in Tampa. We're trying to give people something different."
