95.7 The Beat cancels Oct. 11 Birthday Bash with Kendrick Lamar, 2 Chainz

Bad news if you were hoping to hear Swimming Pools or Feds Watching live in Tampa next week.

95.7 The Beat has canceled its inaugural Birthday Bash, which was scheduled for Oct. 11 at the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre. Kendrick Lamar and 2 Chainz were set to headline the show. Instead, tickets will be refunded at point of purchase.

So let's survey the fall hip-hop calendar. With no 95.7 The Beat Birthday Bash and no Wild 94.1 Last Damn Show (at least none that's been announced so far), the big events are Drake and Miguel at the Forum on Nov. 6 and Kanye West at the Forum on Nov. 30. Kendrick Lamar is rumored to be opening that show, too, so perhaps you'll see him in Tampa yet.
