The Head and the Heart

Saturday brings one of the biggest events on the Tampa Bay live music calendar: 97X Next Big Thing, the 13-hour alternative extravaganza at the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheater.

With 14 bands on the lineup, it can be tough to know when to arrive -- until 97X unveils its schedule and set times, that is. That day has now come, thanks to the official 97X mobile app. Here's the lineup of Next Big Thing set times; all are for the main stage unless otherwise noted:

9:45 p.m.: The 1975

8:10: The Head and the Heart (above)

7: Phantogram

6: Kongos

5: Capital Cities

4: Bishop Briggs

3: The Naked and Famous

2:20: Judah and the Lion (second stage)

1:40: COIN

1:10: Lewis Del Mar (second stage)

12:20: Weathers (second stage)

11:30 a.m.: 888 (second stage)

10:40: Local opener TBD (second stage)

10: Local opener TBD (second stage)

Be sure to get there early, as 97X has a good track record of booking up-and-coming bands for the early slots. Twenty One Pilots played the earliest national slot in 2012, and headlined the whole affair last year.

Additionally, the station has announced a free pre-party from 7 to 11 p.m. Friday featuring an acoustic set from Saint Motel, who performed at last year's Next Big Thing.

The 97X app also has the goods on all meet-and-greet times, so check it out now.
