98 Degrees, O-Town lead 'MY2K' pop tour coming to Tampa's MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre

Wait, what year is this again?

A handful of boy and girl bands and teen-pop sensations from the late '90s and early 2000s are teaming up for the "MY2K Tour," which will hit Tampa's MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre on July 15. Among them: Nick Lachey and 98 Degrees (Because of You), O-Town (All or Nothing), girl band Dream (He Loves U Not) and Ryan Cabrera (On the Way Down).

These are, to say the least, not names we expected to be touring amphitheatres in 2016. But we're coming up on the 20-year nostalgia cycle for the heyday of boy bands and teen pop.So maybe younger Gen-Y'ers and older millennials will find this to be just the shot of sugar they need in the thick heat of summer.

Ticket prices haven't been announced, but they'll go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday. Click here for details.
