98 Rockfest lineup: Soundgarden, A Day to Remember, more coming to Amalie Arena in Tampa

Next year's 98 Rockfest lineup is going grunge.

Soundgarden will headline the 2017 edition of 98 Rockfest, April 28 at Amalie Arena in Tampa. Joining the Seattle grunge heroes are hugely popular melodic metalcore act A Day to Remember, along with post-hardcore favorites Pierce the Veil and Grammy-nominated rockers Highly Suspect. Nothing More, Beartooth, Starset, Dinosaur Pile-Up and Loose Talk round out the lineup.

But the big draw here is Soundgarden, playing only their second show in Tampa Bay in some 20 years, following a powerful 2014 gig at the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre. That show was a rager, despite the absence of drummer Matt Cameron, who was busy at the time with Pearl Jam. Perhaps with Pearl Jam on hiatus at this point for 2017, he'll join Soundgarden for a full-lineup performance.

Tickets to 98 Rockfest start at $19.98 and are on sale now. Click here for details.
