Aerosmith's Steven Tyler coming to Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater
Aerosmith may or may not be plotting a farewell tour, and it may or may not make its way to Florida. But with or without his bandmates, Steven Tyler is coming to town.
The Aerosmith singer has announced initial dates for a solo tour in support of his forthcoming country album, and according to USA Today, it has one stop in the Sunshine State: Aug. 29 at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater.
Tickets prices and an on-sale date for the show have not yet been announced, but expect an announcement soon. Click here for details.
Tyler has thus far debuted two singles from the as-yet-untitled album on Big Machine, Love Is Your Name and Red, White and You. In the handful of solo shows he’s played this year, he’s sprinkled in a solid dose of Aerosmith hits, including Cryin’, Sweet Emotion, Livin’ on the Edge, Janie’s Got a Gun and I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing. His setlist might change once he’s got more than a couple of country songs to pull from, but we’d bet he’ll play at least a couple of big hits.
Hey, Joe Perry has a home in Sarasota. Maybe he'll come up for a song or two, too?
