Against Me! drop off March 16 concert with Bad Religion at the Ritz Ybor in Tampa
Tampa Against Me! fans will have to wait a little longer for their first look at Laura Jane Grace.
The Gainesville rock outfit has canceled all of its appearances on an upcoming tour with punk legends Bad Religion, including a March 16 date at the Ritz Ybor.
"Canceling a tour is definitely not a decision we would make lightly," the band wrote on Facebook. "At this moment, due to our current uncertainty over who is going to be playing drums with us, we feel like we are lacking the ability to put on the show our fans deserve and we think that the best thing for us to do right now is take some time to regroup and finish a record."
While nothing has been posted about refunds, Against Me! did say that "if anyone who bought tickets doesn't want to go to the show now or walks away from the show feeling disappointed we'll definitely do our best to accomodate some spots on our guest list next time we pass through your town, which hopefully won't be too long from now."
Against Me! was already a popular draw in this area, but last year, frontman Tom Gabel announced he was transgender, and would begin living life as a woman, Laura Jane Grace. It's a bummer that we won't get to see her, but in the end, we're still getting a show by Bad Religion. Nothing wrong with that.
