UPDATE: Alabama coming to Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater
The last time Alabama came to town, it was 2003, and the legendary country group was in the middle of its "Farewell Tour."
Well, you know how that goes. Farewell tours are never REALLY farewell tours, not in this day and age. So it was probably inevitable that Alabama would one day find themselves back on a Tampa Bay stage.
But we figured their return would come at an arena or amphitheatre, not in a relatively intimate theater like Ruth Eckerd Hall.
But that's where Randy Owen, Teddy Gentry and Jeff Cook will bring Alabama's 40th anniversary "Back to the Bowery Tour" on July 6 -- their only date announced so far in Florida. General admission ticket prices haven't been announced. Alabama's website says tickets will go onsale April 6.
***UPDATE*** Ruth Eckerd Hall confirms that tickets will go onsale April 6 and cost $69, $99 and $125. Click here for details.
Whenever tickets go onsale, and no matter how much they cost, Expect this show to sell out. Alabama is one of the top-selling American bands in history, with an endless string of No. 1 singles like Mountain Music, Love in the First Degree and Feels So Right. This could be your last chance to hear them live.
