Artist of the day: Anderson Perry
Born-again rapper Anderson Perry sells homemade CDs on which he raps about sacrifice, redemption and obedience — all lessons he learned the hard way.
He also cares for roomate Nate Flemister, a high-functioning autistic man who thinks of Perry as his "big brother." On a good week, Perry collects about $500 selling CDs, enough that he doesn't need a day job and can help with Flemister's expenses. He sells recording time to friends using his company name Black Rock Studios. Flemister is learning to use production software.
